Roller Shutter

A roller shutter is a closure system made of interconnected horizontal slats (panels) that move vertically to open and close. The slats roll up around a drum (roller) positioned above the opening (door or window) when opened, and unroll to cover the opening completely when closed.

Advantages of Roller Shutters

  • Security: Protects against theft and unauthorized access.

  • Insulation: Thermal and acoustic insulation.

  • Weather Protection: Shields against dust, rain, and UV rays.

  • Ease of Operation: Especially with electric systems.

  • Durability: Long-lasting with proper materials.

Types of Roller Shutters

  • Commercial & Industrial:

    • Heavy-duty, designed for high-frequency use.

    • Common in shops, warehouses, and factories.

  • Residential:

    • Lighter in weight, often insulated for comfort.

    • Used for windows, doors, and garages.

  • High-Security:

    • Reinforced steel design, anti-break-in systems.

  • Transparent (Polycarbonate) Shutters:

    • Allow visibility while providing protection.
